About The Role

Software Engineers at Uber have an impact across various business and technology decisions, spanning projects and locations. We are passionate and pragmatic technologists capable of designing scalable systems and delivering efficient code. We also mentor talented engineers while executing ambitious projects. As a Software Engineer in Brazil, you will be part of Uber's LATAM development center, working on products used worldwide.

About The Team

Uber Flash is a rapidly growing service with 3.5 million monthly active users, available within the Uber Rider app, allowing peer-to-peer package delivery within cities. You will join a cross-functional team focused on building features that drive growth, collaborating with backend and mobile engineers, PMs, designers, and data scientists to develop and maintain mobile app features for iOS and Android.

What You Will Do
  • Write high-quality, reliable, readable, efficient, and testable code; conduct code reviews; and create comprehensive tests and documentation following best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshooting production issues with guidance.
  • Monitor product quality in production, identify, triage, and fix bugs and inefficiencies.
Basic Qualifications
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, programming languages, and frameworks (e.g., Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java).
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Recent bachelor’s graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, from July 2024 to July 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in software engineering through work, education, coursework, training, or research.
  • Ability to understand requirements and translate them into system design.
