The Sibelco Group operates over 110 production sites in 31 countries, with a team of over 5,000 people.- Location:_SP SchoolhouseRole Purpose:Implement the electrical & automation engineering of capital projects from initiation to commissioning and support improving the level of the electrical, instrumentation and automation of existing plants.**Responsibilities**:1) Support project delivery during front end engineering:- Participate in idea generation to propose the suitable process control and automation systems- Propose pertinent electrical, instrumentation, digitalization and automation solutions jointly with site and global Engineering, IT/ IS and engineering consultants- Contribute to project scope development, planning of work and cost estimation with regard to electrical and automation- Develop P&ID, automation functional analysis jointly with the Process Engineer, E&A engineer and engineering consultants- Ensure electrical engineering from HV/MV delivery to MCCs - either self or via contractors, depending on execution model- Develop technical specifications and build E&A tender document and conduct technical bid evaluation - advise on selection of suppliers and contractors- Support the Operations team with managing interface between the project and Operations, e.g. gathering basic data/ input information for engineering studies, reviewing and signing off on engineering deliverables, managing queries during engineering- Ensure focus on reliability and accuracy of instruments during design and construction- Improve instrumentation and process control to increase product quality and consistency, along with operation cost and energy efficiency.2) Support project delivery during construction:- Supervise E&A related construction works- Carry out or witness control loop checks prior to commissioning- Ensure E&A related Quality Control along the project delivery- Support Operations team by managing queries and interface issues during construction, providing functional QA/ QC during construction3) Support project delivery during commissioning and hand-over:- Write SOP and instructions on PLC/SCADA systems- Participate in project commissioning, training of operators and the successful handover to Operations- Assist with tuning of process controllers4) Quality & Control: Monitor and supervise the outsourced E&A activities:- Ensure compliance with local regulations, Sibelco standard and other requirements, defined during the design phases- Sign off on functional deliverables- Monitor and assure the achievement of expected performances5) Knowledge Management:- Share knowledge and good practices with peers and project stakeholders by proper reporting in the relevant system- Document functional lessons learned and feed back to global Engineering teamAbout you:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electricity, Automation, Instrument, etc.) or other relevant field- Experience in an industrial environment (preferably mineral processing)- 5 years experience in similar role- Focused expertise in electricity, electrical installations, automation, instrument engineering.
