Commodities Trader

Project Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to support the onboarding of Commodities Asset class to an Equity Derivatives Trading desk.

The ideal candidate will have experience in capital markets, preferably in Commodities and/or Equity Derivatives, and be able to resolve daily issues related to functional, valuation, and pricing.

This role offers the benefit of working with a well-established client team, fully involved in project initiation through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolve daily issues on functional, valuation, and pricing
• Address Equity Derivatives desk issues and work closely with traders
• Amend pre-trade rules, eTradePad, simulations
• Resolve P&L, Market Data, and booking issues
• Analyze and formulate overall solutions as per PROD Support deliverables
• Liaise with technical teams for FO related issues and necessary enhancements
• Manage day-to-day assigned project tasks to complete various deliverables
• Yield Curve issue resolution and validation; curve assignments; new curve creation
• Follow-up on new Market regulations/practices globally
• Perform testing for assigned deliverables and participate in formal release cycles

Skill Requirements:

• Strong product knowledge in EQD, COM
• Very strong understanding of FX, IRD business
• Very Strong understanding on P&L concept overall and its components
• Very Strong understanding and hands-on experience in Market Data, Curve structure, Simulations, and Trade Life Cycle
• Strong experience in supporting users and resolving daily issues
• 5+ years experience with Murex functionalities
• 4+ years experience in financial markets role
• SQL proficiency
