Overview

Production Manager - Greenville, AL role at Hubbell Incorporated. Responsible for management and oversight of the CMC Greenville, AL Production operations across all shifts. Administers organization policies by performing the duties required either personally or through subordinate supervisors / employees.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for all aspects of the CMC Greenville Manufacturing personnel, productivity, on-time delivery performance, cost and budgeting/forecast.
  • Manage and develop a team with a commitment to process improvements in safety, quality, cost and delivery, utilizing approaches such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Drive and coordinate safety initiatives across all areas of manufacturing and all shifts.
  • Ensure effective management of all work centers, processes and personnel involved with the manufacture of Connectors.
  • Identify and manage key cost drivers within the manufacturing process and continually refine processes to meet business objectives.
  • Develop solutions for meeting production plans in support of Company objectives.
  • Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees while maximizing process flexibility through cross-training.
  • Plan, develop and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and increase utilization of labor and materials. Eliminate waste and develop cost reductions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university in a related field
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and other PC application skills.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
