The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Brazilian corporate income tax matters, including corporate tax compliance, transfer pricing, audits, tax reporting, systems integration support, local tax planning, litigation, and advisory related to our Brazilian operations and legal entities. Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Tax Reporting Ensure all direct, indirect, and withholding tax returns are filed accurately and on time, in compliance with Brazilian tax laws. Manage tax audits and requests from tax authorities. Assist LATAM reporting leads with preparation of tax reporting packages, including cash tax planning. Ensure accurate recognition of tax provisions and deferred tax assets/liabilities. Ensure tax account reconciliations are completed and reviewed on time. Advisory on New Businesses Provide strategic tax advice on new businesses. Evaluate tax implications of new projects in the territory. Tax Planning Develop and implement strategies to optimize WBD’s tax position, ensuring compliance with Brazilian tax laws. Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies in alignment with the company’s operational and business objectives. Support global tax initiatives or projects, including potential implementation to the extent that Brazil entities or operations are impacted. Support transfer pricing team by communicating any changes in business operations that may require new or different intercompany transactions and assist in their implementation. Prepare and/or review transfer pricing calculations and documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Support intercompany pricing strategies along with WBD’s transfer pricing team. Tax Litigation Assist Director in managing the company’s tax litigation strategy, working closely with legal teams and external advisors to minimize exposures. Ensure effective resolution of disputes with tax authorities. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in Brazil and the media industry; assess and advise management on tax impacts on WBD’s local operations. Qualifications Degree in Tax, Law, Administration or Economy. Advanced tax experience, including managing direct and indirect tax compliance, audits, and other local tax advisory and planning matters. In‑depth knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations and global tax frameworks (e.g., OECD guidelines). Working knowledge of S4, Vertex, local tax interfaces, and Microsoft Office. Ability to clearly and effectively interact with accounting & finance teams, legal, corporate tax partners, and outsourced accountants in local countries. Fluent in English.
