The key objective of this position is to explore potential new market opportunities and drive long-term financial growth through increased revenue and excellent client connections. This role involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to initiate, develop, and maintain industry contacts and engage in networking activities to secure new business for the organization. Key responsibilities include analysing existing and potential markets, identifying and securing business development opportunities, leading prospecting initiatives to detect and establish new opportunities and collaborations. In addition, this role requires responsible sales quota management with the ambition to drive growth for the business, negotiating business contracts and agreements with key customers, meeting established deadlines for customer long-term goals, and developing a portfolio of customers by ensuring they are satisfied with services provided while identifying new business opportunities. Other key duties include addressing and resolving customer complaints and enquiries, building long-term relationships with new and existing customers, communicating and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, compiling reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for stakeholders, and initiating, developing, and maintaining industry contacts and engaging in networking activities such as exhibitions to secure new business. Qualifications and requirements for this role include a bachelor's degree or post-graduate diploma in sales, marketing, business, finance, or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of working experience in business development and new customer acquisition in the tobacco industry is also required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent resourcefulness, tech savvy, and customer relationship management skills.
