Full-Time Software Development Engineer, São Paulo Amazon – Software Development Engineer (SDE) – São Paulo, Brazil This is a full‑time, permanent, non‑virtual position based in São Paulo. It is intended for recent university graduate (bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science or related field within the last 24 months. The role provides an opportunity to impact thousands of Amazon customers through coding, architecture, and team practices. The selected candidate(s) will contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations. They will code, drive software architecture, and promote best practices. Responsibilities Work with the team to help drive business decisions. Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions that optimize services, cost, and security. Use best practices to ensure high quality across all deliverables. Deliver production‑ready code and own end‑to‑end customer experience of built services and features. Key job responsibilities Collaborate with experienced cross‑disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market. Collaborate to design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, leading fundamental changes in the industry. Collaborate to create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at scale. Collaborate to build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault‑tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use. Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems. Work in an agile environment to deliver high‑quality software.
