Role Type:
Hybrid - Employees can expect to be in the office three days week as needed and should live within a commutable distance to the office in Spruce Pine, NC.
Role Purpose:
Within the Business Service Team, this role is responsible for the HR function within the team. This role will also support the management team in recruitment and onboarding of new talent, payroll, managing engagement & development and time & attendance (incl. absence tracking).
**Responsibilities**:
1) Human Resources Contact for team- Act as primary contact for the employees in the team on HR related matters.- Investigates and resolves day-to-day employee relations problems, either directly or through advice to line management.- Act as primary contact for the people managers in the team on HR related matters, provide guidance to the appropriate policies, procedures, or HR colleagues.- Payroll Administration - ensure that payroll outsourced company calculate payroll correctly, ensure that employees receive their pay correctly.- Maintain personnel files.- Responding to employees’ queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
2) Recruitment- Support line management in the Team Workforce planning.- Assist line management in identifying recruitment needs and appropriate recruitment strategies.- Coordinate the recruitment process in accordance with Sibelco Group recruitment policies for all non-managerial roles for the team.- Coordinate with Director HR for recruitment of managerial roles in team.- Ensure accurate and timely registration of new hires in Workday.
3) Compliance:
- Ensure compliance of the organization’s practices with applicable employment legislation- Ensure country HR policies and procedures are compliant with Sibelco Group policies and procedures.- Responsible for maintaining country policies and procedures on HR self-service portal up to date; including country employee handbook.
4) Employee Relations:
- Manage disciplinary actions for all employees in the team.
5) Employee onboarding & offboarding- Organize and execute onboarding (incl. IT onboarding ticket) for all new employees and contingent workers (all levels) starting within the team.- Ensure orientation and induction plan is in place and communicated to all new employees and their line manager.- At the employment, organize exit interview and proper offboarding in all systems (Workday registration and IT off boarding ticket).
6) Performance & Development- Take responsibility for implementing and coordinating performance management processes in the team.- Support Line Managers in the team in employee performance management actions, facilitating continuous performance dialogues.- Assists in career development issues, discussing career paths with line managers.- Organize and deliver trainings.
7) Employee Engagement- Implement engagement activities within the team.- Support engagement activity initiatives and plans within the team.
8) Continuous improvement- Recommends ways to improve support for the business in the team by changing policies, processes, standards and practice and liaise with sub-regional and global functional experts in this respect.- Act as a change champion on global and sub-regional policy and procedures deployment
About you:
- Overall knowledge and understanding of key Human Resource disciplines, i.e. talent management, recruitment, performance management and record keeping- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Sciences or a similar relevant field- 2+ years of professional human resources experience in a relevant role- Experience in Employee Relations- Having basic notion and capabilities to learn and quickly built experience in the other expertise area
