St. Mary of the Assumption (Santa Maria) Posted Expires 11/14/2025 Description Maintenance Worker (Full-Time, Hourly, Bilingual, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, to keep assigned building interiors clean and orderly, to perform a variety of custodial and minor building maintenance duties as assigned; and to do related work as required Because all Archdiocesan employees represent the Roman Catholic Church, they are expected to conduct themselves according to the goals and mission of the Church in performing their work. SOME EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Sweep, scrub and mop floors. Strip, wax, buff and seal floors. Vacuum and shampoo rugs. Wash and clean bathroom basin and toilets Empty and clean waste receptacles Cleans walls, fountains, windows and restrooms. Replenish supplies. Set up building for meeting and events. Clean and maintain equipment and material used in work. May perform variety of building maintenance tasks including moving furniture and equipment. Assembling shelving, performing minor repairs and other similar duties. Six months experience in janitorial or light building maintenance; or Any combination of training, education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
