Service Technician, 4 Stroke- Business Unit Parts and Field Service is a global organisation with harmonised ways of working and tools to deliver the best possible services for our customers. Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation, and we never compromise them.- We are now looking for a **Service Technician (4 Stroke)**to join our **Field Service of Marine** team around the world working for a better future, and the preferred location of the position is in **Niterói, Barreto, Brazil.****Main responsibilities**:- Perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke medium-speed engines. Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.- Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.- Assistance in creating the Service Work Reports.- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.- Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.- Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.**To be successful in this role, we expect you to have**:- A safety-first mindset.- A passion for developing your 4-stroke knowledge to the next level.- A Technical degree in a relevant field (mechanics, automation, naval, or others).- A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.- English is needed at intermediary or advanced level.- Technical experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul with practical problem-solving skills.- Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.- Interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during the work execution.- Experience with 4-stroke engines, preferably low and medium speed.- Experience in working with electrical systems is a plus.- At Wärtsilä we value, respect and embrace all our differences, and are committed to diversity, inclusion and equal employment opportunities; everyone can be their true self and succeed based on their job-relevant merits and abilities.
