The Director, Business Innovation LATAM is accountable for defining, leading, and scaling Business Innovation across Latin America. This role owns the regional vision, strategy, operating model, and performance of the Business Innovation organization—overseeing both Program Managers (regional program development) and Regional / Country Managers (local execution and adoption). The LATAM Director ensures that Business Innovation evolves from projects to scalable platforms, driving sustainable growth, capability building, and measurable commercial impact across Brazil, Mexico, and CALA. Role Purpose The Director, Business Innovation LATAM is accountable for defining, leading, and scaling Business Innovation across Latin America. This role owns the regional vision, strategy, operating model, and performance of the Business Innovation organization—overseeing both Program Managers (regional program development) and Regional / Country Managers (local execution and adoption). The LATAM Director ensures that Business Innovation evolves from projects to scalable platforms, driving sustainable growth, capability building, and measurable commercial impact across Brazil, Mexico, and CALA. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Vision Define the LATAM Business Innovation strategy, aligned with global priorities and regional commercial objectives. Identify and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities, new business models, and digital platforms for the region. Set clear strategic guardrails to ensure focus, scale, and disciplined execution. Organization & Operating Model Leadership Own and evolve the Scenario II operating model, ensuring clear separation and strong collaboration between Program Managers (build, standards, scale) and Regional / Country Managers (execution, adoption, results). Build and lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team, fostering accountability, agility, and continuous improvement. Define governance, decision rights, and escalation models across the organization. Program Portfolio & Governance Oversee the regional portfolio of Business Innovation programs, ensuring prioritization based on value, scalability, and strategic fit. Sponsor key programs, providing direction and removing structural blockers. Ensure disciplined governance across the full lifecycle: discovery, development, rollout, and optimization. Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership Act as the senior point of contact for LAT, regional functional leaders, and global stakeholders. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, and Customer Services to align innovation initiatives with business priorities. Influence decision-making through data‑driven insights, business cases, and performance reviews. Performance, Scale & Value Creation Own regional performance management, tracking adoption, financial impact, and scalability of programs. Ensure that innovation initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes, not just pilots or experiments. Drive a culture of learning, iteration, and scale, leveraging insights from execution to improve platforms. Talent & Career Development Develop clear career paths and capability frameworks for Program Managers and Regional Managers. Build succession plans and ensure readiness for future regional and global leadership roles. Actively mentor and coach leaders within the Business Innovation organization. Day-to-Day Activities Set regional priorities and approve program roadmaps. Lead portfolio and governance reviews. Coach and align Program Managers and Regional Managers. Engage with LALT and global leadership on strategy and progress. Review business cases, KPIs, and adoption metrics. Remove cross-functional blockers and resolve escalations. Communicate vision, priorities, and results across the region. Key Interactions Internal: LALT, Global Business Innovation leaders, Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, PMO, Program Managers, Regional / Country Managers. External: Strategic partners, vendors, selected customers, innovation ecosystem partners (as needed). What Success Looks Like Business Innovation operates as a scalable regional platform, not isolated country initiatives. Programs launch with speed, discipline, and clear standards. Strong and consistent adoption across all LATAM markets. Clear linkage between innovation initiatives and revenue, margin, or efficiency impact. A strong leadership bench and recognized career paths within the organization. Required Experience & Skills 12+ years of experience in Business Innovation, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Digital Transformation, or Commercial Leadership. Proven experience leading regional or multi-country organizations. Strong understanding of product, program, and agile operating models. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex cross-functional environments. Strong financial acumen (ROI, P&L, business cases). Experience in medical devices, dental, healthcare, or technology environments preferred. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
