Sr Human Resources Consultant, Disability Leave Services

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or any related field. - Relevant experience managing case or providing support to employees on disability, leave of absences, human resources, or employee relations functions - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint and pulling data from multiple sources. - Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English- Experience handling negotiations- Experience in union and non-union manufacturing, distribution and call center locations- Experience working with confidential information- Ability to build strong relationships and influence others while working in a cross functional environment, preferably with senior members of the business- Employee relations and change management- Experience working with government programs- Customer service and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.- Ability to diagnose problems, identify and drive appropriate solutions- Ability to work with all levels of business contacts to include:- Physicians - Disabled employees - Managers - Employee family members - Attorneys - Claim adjusters - Private investigators - Case Managers- Critical thinking skills - ability to make independent decisions in grey areas utilizing SOPs and internal policies
