Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator Job Category: Operations (Offshore) Location: Rio De Janeiro Rig Type: Drillship Rig Name: West Saturn Job Summary Responsible for the safe positioning of the unit and as the Responsible Navigator in accordance with international maritime regulations. Core Responsibilities Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct. Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements. Ensure operations do not exceed the limitations of the unit or its equipment. Conduct daily detailed planning for all upcoming operations. Maintain valid marine certification on board at all times. Execute marine operations safely and efficiently in line with procedures. Ensure all personnel are adequately trained for emergencies. Ensure all emergency equipment is in good condition and properly configured. Perform stability and ballast operations according to requirements. Act promptly on non‑compliances and report them to the direct supervisor. Revise all relevant governing documents when required. Conduct training and competence assessments as assigned. Maintain compliance with the standard for tidiness and cleanliness. Assume the safety role as per the station bill and emergency preparedness plan. Job Specific Responsibilities Provide uninterrupted manning of the dynamic positioning console. Ensure neither the dynamic positioning console nor the bridge is left unattended. Ensure all relevant governing documents are followed by direct reports. Provide clear daily operational guidelines to direct reports. Demonstrate visible leadership by monitoring daily operations. Maintain required logbooks as per regulations. Participate actively in meeting activities. Conduct thorough handovers at each daily shift change. Train subordinates to fill higher positions. Perform other duties as required or directed by the direct supervisor. Equipment & Systems Responsibilities Maintain bridge equipment and record all maintenance activities. Prepare equipment for upcoming marine operations. Authority As per Corporate and Regional Delegation of Authority matrices.
