We have an exciting opportunity for a **Principal DP Consultant** to join our team of Maritime experts in our office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

**What you will be doing.**:
As our **Principal DP Consultant, **you will provide support to the Dynamic Positioning business lines in the region and globally. Managing related projects using professional experience and basic principles. In addition, you will:

- Carry out Dynamic Positioning Technical Projects & Dynamic Positioning Assurance Projects.
- Help to oversee progress and deliverables for projects ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
- Help to prepare tenders and proposals in relation to the Dynamic Positioning services offered. Support the Brazil & Regional Management team in growing the Business.
- Maintain and develop new and existing clients through appropriate proposition and relevant liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth and client satisfaction-raising commercial awareness.
- Ensure all operations, deliverables and quality of reports are in accordance with approved instructions, and ABL procedures and policies.

- Provide training, mentoring and motivation to co-workers.

This is role is office-based, Flexibility to working hours may be required. Onsite (offshore) attendance and time with clients may be required. Ability to work remotely may be required as and when agreed with your manager.

**What we are looking for.**:
In addition, you will also possess the following Qualifications, Work Experience, Technical and Behavioural skills:
**Essential-**
- Chief Engineer (STCW III/2) or Degree equivalent electrical engineer with significant DP-related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- DP maintenance certification from one of the major manufacturers.
- Have significant and relevant professional shore-based and seaside experience with at least 10 years of hands-on experience as Chief Engineer / Chief Electrician, DP Superintendent or DP Consultant/Surveyor/Engineer.
- Can demonstrate a working knowledge of DP vessels, Marine and Electrical Engineering systems and equipment.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Portuguese.
- Technically and commercially astute.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with clients Competent in report writing and using Microsoft software including Word, Excel etc.

**Desirable**
- IMCA recognized DP practitioner certificate.
- Experience with DP trials and FMEA documents.
- Good knowledge of MTS/IMCA guidelines and Brazilian maritime legislation related to the DP System.
