At QuintoAndar, we use Machine Learning to build delightful experiences and solve complex problems. We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to bring production-ready ML models and features, and to evolve our ML ecosystem as we scale.

Location & Remote Work

Our technology team operates under a "remote-first" model. You can work from anywhere in Brazil. We also have the option to work from São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces up to twice a week.

Responsibilities

• Combine Software Engineering and Data Science to create production-ready ML models
• Integrate other engineering services with ML services
• Develop frameworks and platforms to build, deploy, serve and monitor ML-based services
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Scientists along the modeling pipeline
• Features preparation
• Model training
• API development
• Service deployment
• Predictions and features monitoring
• Model retraining
• Ensure health and quality of ML services
• Foster best practices for ML infrastructure and coding
• Contribute to vision and architecture to scale ML solutions
• Participate in problem contextualization, solution scope, product discovery, and implementation of ML-based products or platforms
• Manage technical debt with short-term value delivery and long-term ML capability growth
• Bridge non-ML and ML services to coordinate dependencies

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering and Python skills
• Solid background in Machine Learning
• Production experience with ML models, including deployment and maintenance of ML services
• Good cloud-based infrastructure skills
• Experience with MLOps tools and libraries (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform)
• Experience developing RESTful APIs
• Ability to tackle tough technical challenges
• Humility, curiosity and willingness to learn
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Orientation to business value

Nice to Have

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields
• Experience with Deep Learning models
• Experience with LLMs, AI Agents and chatbots
• Experience on ML Platform teams
• Experience with Spark
• Experience in fast-growing start-ups or high-tech companies
• Java or other compiled language experience is a plus
