Claims Specialist

Based in São Paulo, in this role you will report to the Claims Manager and will handle all standard and complex long tail claims types, in both lead and follow capacity.You will be also expected to organize claims related market events to engage and maintain relationship with brokers and clients, to interact and participate in projects and initiatives with the global team, as well as to proactively identify loss trends and perform portfolio management.Your responsibilities will be:- Claims Processing and Administration: claims records / review of late/non payment of premium and support credit control processes / manage timely production of information reports.- Investigation and Reserving of Claims: coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures / select and direct independent external service providers / discuss and review contentious, large and complex claims with fellow adjusters and management.- Settlement: settle standard claims through payment or denial / negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement / ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines /support subrogation processes.- Referrals and Compliance: ensure authority limits and guidelines / refer cases outside of authority level / undertake audits of external service providers as appropriate.To be successful in this role you are expected to bring:- Understanding in relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages.- Knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery.- Understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation avoidance techniques.- Good understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape.- Good understanding of the products and portfolio with technical specialist knowledge.- Advanced user experience - Global Genius and Excel.- Fluency in English (mandatory) and Spanish (desirable).The Benefits Of Joining Allianz Commercial:- Hybrid working model, which recognizes the value in a balance between remote and office based working, giving you the flexibility to organize the way you work- An exciting and versatile job with an opportunity to work alongside skilled and specialised colleagues from all over the world- An environment where innovation and challenging the status quo is encouraged- Wellbeing policies/initiatives to support a positive work life balance- A competitive compensation and benefits package including generous bonus scheme- Continuous learning: A large portfolio of continuous learning opportunities to help you stay relevant in your current role, grow into future roles and meet the demands of the workplace- Diverse and inclusive culture: You will be accepted for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirsAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
