Senior Capital Project Specialist (Mining/Minerals/Metals Sector)

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Capital Project Specialist to join our team in Latin America.

The successful candidate will lead evaluations and consulting for major Mining/Minerals/Metals players to help them improve the effectiveness of their capital projects. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record working on capital projects or analyzing project feasibility in the mining, minerals, or metals sectors.

We are looking for someone with solid analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to contribute as a thought leader. The ability to connect with data and people is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead evaluations and consulting for major Mining/Minerals/Metals players
  • Work directly with capital project teams and project organizations from major companies
  • Interfacing with clients to collect and analyze technical, cost, schedule, and project management data
  • Writing reports with insight and a customer focus
  • Delivering verbal feedback and public presentations
  • Conducting research on the drivers of project success or failure using proprietary databases and statistics

Our ideal candidate must have demonstrable Portuguese and English language oral and written communication skills, solid analytical skills, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements:
  • A Master's degree (preferred) or Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in mining engineering, geology, or allied fields
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with mining, minerals, or metals companies
  • Proven record of carrying out independent research or using a variety of statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data

Travel:
  • This position requires travel up to 30% of each month
