Linux Systems Engineer

Your primary role involves providing expert-level technical support and guidance for Linux environments, encompassing installation, patching, migrations, and scripting.
- Lead L2/L3 production and project support for Linux systems, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues across diverse platforms, including Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and AIX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage filesystems, volumes, and storage to ensure efficient data management and availability.
- Develop and implement system hardening strategies to enhance security and reduce vulnerabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Linux and Unix systems, with expertise in filesystem management, volume control, and storage optimization.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, clustering, and system hardening principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Bonus Points:
- Linux certification, German language proficiency, and experience with Veritas Cluster, Apache, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
