Linux System Engineer PositionWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Linux System Engineer to fill a key role in our IT infrastructure team.This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Linux system infrastructure, primarily Red Hat and Oracle Linux.This is a full-time position that requires strong technical skills and experience with automation tools such as Ansible.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, including patching, scripting, and GIT version control.Responsibilities:Design and implement Linux system infrastructure, including configuration management and deployment automation.Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management and deployment automation.Perform advanced Linux patching, security updates, and OS hardening.Write and maintain Bash scripts for automation and system maintenance tasks.Administer and support Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux system issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams to ensure consistent environments.Manage source code and configuration using GIT repositories.Monitor system performance, reliability, and security using industry-standard tools.Document processes, system changes, and configurations.Required Skills and Qualifications:8+ years of experience in Linux System Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux).Strong proficiency in Ansible, including custom module development and troubleshooting.Advanced bash scripting skills for automation and system tasks.Proficient in GIT for version control and collaboration.Experience with Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning and patch management.Deep understanding of Linux patching strategies, kernel upgrades, and OS lifecycle management.Experience working in secure, enterprise IT environments.Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Benefits:This is a 100% remote position with benefits, including health insurance coverage, meal vouchers, and annual bonuses.Work Environment:This role requires participation in on-call rotation and after-hours support.The fast-paced, collaborative IT infrastructure team provides a dynamic work environment.
