What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy features and services specifically tailored for the Brazilian market, with a focus on the Brazil Business, Consumer, and PIX experience.
  • Propose and advocate for high-quality technical designs and solutions that are scalable, reliable, and compliant with local regulations.
  • Conduct rigorous code and design reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain and elevate engineering standards globally.
  • Implement integrations with local banks, payment providers, identity/business verification vendors, and financial partners across the region.
  • Automate and improve onboarding workflows and compliance checks (KYC/KYB) for different customer types.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers in other global offices, to align on product vision and technical implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of systems.
  • Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for the Brazil Regional team.
  • Act as a technical leader and mentor within the São Paulo engineering hub, helping to onboard and guide new engineers.
  • Stay updated on relevant Brazilian and LatAm market trends, payment systems, and regulatory requirements to inform product development and ensure compliance.
Qualifications What We’re Looking For
  • A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a desire to take ownership and make a significant impact.
  • Proven experience as a Staff Engineer, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, scalable systems and a strong product mindset.
  • A highly autonomous team player that is able to find and execute on the most impactful opportunities.
  • Deep technical expertise in back-end development and microservices architecture.
  • Experience in designing and building complex software systems and collaborating on architectural decisions.
  • Strong ability to provide constructive feedback during code and design reviews.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex challenges.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or global teams.
  • A passion for mentoring and coaching engineers and contributing to team growth.
  • Advanced knowledge of English (equivalent to at least Level B2 - but no certification is required).
Nice To Have
  • Java proficiency.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or global teams.
  • Experience working on payments systems, money movement, financial integrations, Consumer and/or Business onboarding (KYC/KYB) in Latin American markets.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in the FinTech or payments industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Spanish.
