What you will do

Your daily activities will include but not be limited to:

  • Drive & follow-up the product verification & validation plan together with the SED (Safe and Efficient Driving) engineering team.
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis for issues that may arise from the test & validation campaigns of the ADAS platform.
  • Act as local support of prototype vehicle setups and perform acceptance drives of systems for test vehicles.
  • Be aware/knowledgeable of the latest legal regulation test specifications and Euro/NCAP.
  • Root Cause Analysis for issues raised by local testing teams.
  • Run and support in data collection activities and data collection vehicle Check-outs.
  • Support on setting up logging solutions according to SED requirements and data pipeline (PVT/field tests).
  • Support with Data Analysis and visualization.
  • Create awareness about system performance and expectations.
  • Track and receive deliveries of developed software components from the development teams.
  • Perform integration testing prior to release.
  • Coordinate release activities with local testing teams.
  • Document the released software in Volvo systems (Kola, Configurator, SEWS2…).
  • Assist the Safe & Efficient Driving Release Manager with technical integration results intended for release notes.

As part of an Agile Team, you´ll be immersed in a dynamic work environment, delivering Embedded SW solutions for Volvo Transport Systems. Your main interfaces will be Electronics and SW Development Engineers from sites all over the world, such as Sweden, France, US, India in daily interactions and occasional trips

In this role, you will bring:

Relevant Experience:
  • Applicants shall have an Engineering degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or similar.
  • Embedded systems – Good understanding of basic HW components (ECU’s, sensors, actuators, wiring harnesses) and SW design (basic SW architecture, communication protocols, diagnostics).
  • Fluent proficiency level of English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication skills and thrive in cooperation with others.
  • Knowledge of LIN, CAN, and Ethernet communication.
  • Experience with Vector toolchain and especially CANalyzer and CANoe.
  • Python.
  • Truck knowledge – Understanding how different systems in a truck interact and work together.
  • SW knowledge – Knowing the basic principles and processes for how SW is developed, integrated, verified, and deployed.
Meritorious to have:
  • International and multi-cultural experience with a global organization.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, and requirement tools.
  • Experience with HIL testing and vehicle testing.
  • Good knowledge of software programming languages like C++, C#.
