This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as a technical leader, shaping the core systems of our platform and driving innovation forward.

You will oversee the development and maintenance of our application and AI engine, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and reliable. Your expertise will also guide the engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentoring.

  • Promote high-quality code across the full stack (frontend, backend, and AI integration) by conducting regular code reviews and maintaining coding standards
  • Lead and mentor a development team, fostering collaboration and excellence in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain DevOps tasks including deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and scaling to guarantee smooth operations
  • Design and implement APIs, integrating with third-party services to expand platform capabilities
  • Evaluate security, performance, and reliability of the platform in production environments, resolving critical issues promptly
  • Participate in architecture decisions and suggest improvements to the platform design for enhanced efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with the Machine Learning team to integrate AI-driven features and question generation into the platform
  • Contribute to defining accessibility standards and compliance, focusing on data protection, privacy, and security in educational settings
Key Skills:
  • Proficiency in system architecture, software best practices, and code review methodologies
  • Strong experience in backend languages, frontend frameworks, and DevOps tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, along with proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, Machine Learning algorithms, and Python programming

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a commitment to social mission and inclusive education
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on full-stack development and DevOps/cloud infrastructure
  • Experience working with PHP (Laravel), React.JS, Next.JS, and other relevant technologies
  • Knowledge of data security, regulatory compliance, and web accessibility principles
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models into production applications and leading distributed or remote teams
