Imagine being part of a dynamic team that empowers educators to unlock the full potential in every classroom.This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as a technical leader, shaping the core systems of our platform and driving innovation forward.You will oversee the development and maintenance of our application and AI engine, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and reliable.Your expertise will also guide the engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentoring.Promote high-quality code across the full stack (frontend, backend, and AI integration) by conducting regular code reviews and maintaining coding standardsLead and mentor a development team, fostering collaboration and excellence in a fast-paced environmentMaintain DevOps tasks including deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and scaling to guarantee smooth operationsDesign and implement APIs, integrating with third-party services to expand platform capabilitiesEvaluate security, performance, and reliability of the platform in production environments, resolving critical issues promptlyParticipate in architecture decisions and suggest improvements to the platform design for enhanced efficiencyCollaborate closely with the Machine Learning team to integrate AI-driven features and question generation into the platformContribute to defining accessibility standards and compliance, focusing on data protection, privacy, and security in educational settingsKey Skills:Proficiency in system architecture, software best practices, and code review methodologiesStrong experience in backend languages, frontend frameworks, and DevOps toolsExcellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, along with proficiency in English and SpanishFamiliarity with Generative AI, Machine Learning algorithms, and Python programmingPersonal Qualities:Strong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyProactive and adaptable, with a commitment to social mission and inclusive educationRequirements:5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on full-stack development and DevOps/cloud infrastructureExperience working with PHP (Laravel), React.JS, Next.JS, and other relevant technologiesKnowledge of data security, regulatory compliance, and web accessibility principlesExperience integrating AI/ML models into production applications and leading distributed or remote teams
