Job Description

The interpreter will work within the interpretation team. The main role of this job will be to perform seismic interpretation for Velocity Model Building (VMB) and to give geological support to Processing/VMB teams.

Expected tasks and responsabilities:

  • Horizons picking: regional unconformities, salt horizons, pre-salt section;
  • Use imaging tools and workflows;
  • Direct contact with clients to present results, understanding their perspective
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should present relevantexperience in Seismic Interpretation with Specialization in Seismic Interpretation OR Master / PHD degree in Geology OR professional experience in Oil & Gas industry.

Skills and qualifications

  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Experience with Pre-Salt or Brazilian Equatorial Margin is a plus
  • Good understanding of prospect assessment
  • Good understanding of exploration industry
  • Good understanding of seismic imaging
