Market Intelligence Analyst – Sugar & Ethanol Sector

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Agronomy, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the sugar-energy sector (cane, sugar, and ethanol markets)
  • Strong expertise in building market projection models (supply, demand, and prices) in Excel
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Availability to work on-site at the Ribeirão Preto/SP office
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analyses and projections of global sugar supply and demand balances
  • Monitor and interpret market data and trends
  • Prepare studies, reports, and presentations to support internal decision-making
  • Support and participate in risk allocation decisions within the commodities desk
  • Follow up of the Brazilian crop (CS and NNE regions): production forecast, biweekly data, monitor weather forecast and report its impact on the crop; follow up of corn ethanol production in Brasil
  • Analyze Brazilian sugar and ethanol (S&d)
  • Assess costs of production, transportation, and warehousing
  • Monitor domestic prices and consumption behavior trends
  • Visit sugarcane mills in CS and NNE to observe crop performance and commercial strategies
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance market presence and intelligence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient communication and decision making
