Validated and well-developed analytical and modelling skills;
Strong written and verbal communication capabilities in Portuguese and English. Some Spanish skills would be a plus;
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are mandatory. Python programming & Visual Basic for Applications knowledge would be a plus.EducationMinimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in economics, business administration, statistics, accounting, engineering or similar;
ResponsibilitiesAnalyzenew Structured Finance transactions to assign ratings, and review ratings of existing transactions;
Analyze transaction documents to understand transaction structure and legal, operational, and counterparty risks;
Analyze characteristicsof underlying portfolio and performance history to derive loss assumptions;
Apply default and cash flow modeling in line with Moody's Local rating methodologies;
Lead virtual and in-person meetings with originators, advisors and other transaction participants as part of the rating analysis process;
Present creditsefficiently and accurately in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings, formulate a coherent credit rationale and present this rationale in a persuasive fashionCommunicate rating rationales to investors and other market participants through rating reports, presentations and meetings;
Assist in producing timely and relevant research on specific issuers or sector related issues that is in-depth, high quality, informative and focused;
Assist in rating methodology, model and scorecard updates;
Build and manage relationships with investors, advisors, and issuers.About the teamThis role is for an Associate Credit Analyst who will be leading a portfolio of Structured Finance transactions.
