Join our mission as our next Compliance Analyst, helping safeguard our company's future. As a key member of our Compliance team, you'll protect our business while enabling innovation and growth.

This role is fast-paced and demanding; attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure are a must. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, as they will need to communicate professionally with global colleagues. Time management skills and an existing knowledge of Fraud, KYC, and AML/Compliance are advantages.

What you will do:

  • Execute KYC procedures during the onboarding process for all UGLYCASH users, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews as necessary, based on the user's risk profile.
  • Conduct ongoing transaction monitoring using the organization's Monitoring System to identify suspicious patterns or unusual activities.
  • After completing investigations, escalate unusual activities that might be related to sanctioned individuals, money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraud, including filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when required.
  • Document findings and submit reports as needed to the Compliance management team.
  • Inform and escalate significant compliance matters that require their attention or action.
  • Conduct inquiries using global standard policies, AML procedures, and tools aimed at meeting internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to the policies and relevant procedures; stay current on key sanctions regulatory changes, key enforcement actions, and related industry trends.
Requirements:

  • Full-time and overtime availability.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) language proficiency.
  • Ability to work in our Buenos Aires office (Belgrano).
  • At least 1 year of experience in compliance with basic knowledge in the field (risk mitigation, KYC, CDD, EDD, monitoring systems).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a self-motivated, adaptable, and innovative mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to collaborate with people across all organizational levels.
  • Bonus (not required):
  • Knowledge of cryptocurrencies and virtual assets.
  • Knowledge of OTC operations.
