EOS Linux Server Manager Job Description As a skilled EOS Linux Server Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Cloud operations, Linux and Unix administration, and script programming. Main Responsibilities: Participate in major incident handling, troubleshoot service request failures, downtime extensions, and long-running ongoing incidents for customers. Drive initiatives to standardize and simplify server operations, implement continuous improvement methodologies, and analyze root-causes of failures. Coordinate and orchestrate work between teams, collaborate with other units within and outside Enterprise Cloud Service units, and streamline standard operating procedures by focusing on automation enhancements. Technical Expertise: Expert support for all Linux OS/Windows and Infra customer issues (Expert Linux Administrator). Strong experience in administration of cloud platforms based on Linux operating systems in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud as well as in SAP data centres. Pacemaker administration knowledge, practical experience with OS operation, upgrades, and security patching, and networking experience with TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, firewalls. Good understanding of IT security, OS hardening, experience with network services like DNS and LDAP, and HTTP proxies. Experience in script programming (Shell, Perl, Python, Go) and with server automation tools (Ansible, CHEF). Requirements: Fluency in English, good analytical and solution-oriented thinking, very good communication, and experience of safeguarding customer relationship and strong customer service focus.
