JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the head women's softball coach, the assistant softball coach will help provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of a competitive program.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strong ability to assist in providing overall leadership of the softball program
Proven recruiter and evaluator
Ability to foster a strong and positive culture within the program
Maintain high level of academics
Assist with the management of coaching, team practices, competitions, road travel, scheduling, workouts, academics, and life skills
Assist in managing the program budget and team travel
Ensure compliance with all department policies and guidelines
Comply with all applicable Howard University, MEAC, and NCAA rules, guidelines, and policies
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Reports to the Head Softball Coach.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two plus years successful coaching experience preferably at a collegiate level or club level.

SALARY RANGE DISCLOSURE:
$35,000 - $38,000
