Position: Data Engineer Location: (Hybrid - 3 days onsite) Duration: 12-month contract Data Engineer We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines that support Retail Power's forecasting, pricing, and reporting operations. This role is responsible for integrating Salesforce data, usage history, pricing curves, and additional datasets into Databricks and SQL MI to enable accurate forecasting, deal pricing, and downstream analytics. Key Responsibilities ● Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks. ● Integrate usage history, weather data, pricing curves, and product terms into standardized data models. ● Build and optimize Delta Lake tables in ADLS for staging, reference, and historical data use cases. ● Support forecasting and pricing workflows using Azure Notebooks and Databricks jobs. ● Implement data governance, lineage, and archival strategies to ensure data quality and compliance. Required Skills & Experience ● Strong SQL skills and expertise in data modeling. ● Hands-on experience with Databricks, ADLS, Py Spark, and Delta Lake. ● Proven experience building data pipelines with Azure Data Factory. ● Familiarity with forecasting and pricing models in the energy or retail power sector. ● Experience with API-based data ingestion; integration with Endur is a plus. ● Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. ● Understanding of modern service delivery practices (e.g., Site Reliability Engineering, ITIL, product-based delivery). ● Knowledge of cloud security best practices and implementation of security controls. Preferred Qualifications ● Experience in Commercial & Industrial (C& I) retail energy, including power and gas.
