Key Responsibilities: Implement and maintain AML/CFT and sanctions policies and procedures aligned with Brazilian regulatory requirements and global best practices. Regulatory interface (inspections, responses, remediation plans) Conduct customer due diligence (CDD/KYC/KYB) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews in accordance with risk-based methodologies. Support ongoing transaction monitoring, screening, and investigation of suspicious activities. Prepare, review, and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and other regulatory filings with COAF or relevant authorities. Monitor developments in AML/CFT and sanctions laws, and assist in updating internal procedures accordingly. Assist in the delivery of internal training and awareness sessions on AML/CFT and sanctions compliance. Conduct periodic risk assessments, ensuring all controls are operating effectively and aligned with the company's enterprise risk management framework. Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all compliance reviews, escalations, and filings. Support internal and external audits, as well as inspections or information requests from regulators. Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to strengthen compliance systems and data integrity. Contribute to the assessment and oversight of third-party vendors that support AML/CFT and compliance operations. Requirements: Legally resident in Brazil. Senior-level experience (minimum 7 years) in AML/CFT and sanctions compliance experience in financial, fintech, or VASP sectors. Proven ability to operate independently as part of the second line of defense. Strong understanding of COAF, Central Bank of Brazil, and CVM regulations, as well as FATF standards. Proficient in KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting. Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or related field; postgraduate or certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA) preferred. Excellent analytical skills, professional integrity, and fluency in Portuguese and English. Must meet fit and proper standards with no disqualifying factors, including: not to have been declared bankrupt or insolvent; unblemished reputation; knowledge of the line of business, the services to be provided and the crypto segment, as well as crypto market dynamics and the risks associated with those activities; technical capability, compatible with the functions to be exercised.
