We are seeking a Head of Product Management - Metallic Mill Lining to join our Configured Mill Lining Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the global product strategy and roadmap.
You will be fundamental in delivering price-driven and quality-driven solutions for customers across various business segments, contributing to the sustainable growth of this product offering.
Join us in positioning Metso as the leader in Mill Lining solutions.The position can be based in any major Metso location in Europe, North- and South America or Asia Pacific but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
However, the position involves up to 30% of travel.Team you belong to
Metso Mill Lining products are the key to grinding performance, and we've been at the forefront of this industry for over 60 years.
Our customized wear parts not only shield the mill shell from wear but also supercharge grinding performance.From metallic to rubber, Poly-Met to Orebed, and our groundbreaking Megaliner, we offer a diverse range of mill linings for various applications and mill types.
This position reports to the Configured Mill Lining group, which focuses on configurable products with limited variation and a design-to-cost priority.
Additionally, you will actively collaborate with the Optimized Mill Lining and Capital Mill Lining groups, supporting the product lifecycle with innovative, value-based solutions that will set new industry standards.
You will report to Kristian Cyr, VP of Configured Mill Lining.What you'll do Develop and execute the global product strategy and roadmap for metallic mill lining products based on customer insights, market opportunities, and competitive advantages.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle from idea to launch, including market validation, business case development, pricing strategies, positioning, and go-to-market plans.
Evaluate product performance, customer satisfaction, and market trends to initiate product enhancements or new developments as needed.Strong focus on the standardization and modulation of liner designs to enable effective and fast manufacturing, quoting, and potentially storable designs that serve multiple types of mills.
Work with Product Engineering, R&D, TSS (Technical Sales Support), Site Account Management, Marketing, and Commercial Demand and Supply Control to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence among all stakeholdersAlign product strategy with business objectives, prioritizing features that enhance operational efficiency, process performance, and energy savings.
Who you are B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Metallurgy, Process, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Proven track record in product management, preferably in industrial or mining equipment and processes.
Familiarity with grinding processes, relining procedures, and maintenance.
Proficient in project management tools and methodologies, MS Office software, SAP ERP, and Enovia knowledge is a plus.
A proactive team player with a passion for engineering and sustainability.
Full working proficiency in English, and experience working with multicultural teams.
