  • Effectively managing the human resources and administration functions.
  • Overall responsibility for the recruitment and retention of qualified onshore staff in accordance with Company procedures and local / international regulations.
  • Responsible for creating an enabling environment and culture for all staff onshore through the development and implementation of sound policies and adhering to commitments and confidentiality.
  • Responsible for ensuring the training and development of all staff, particularly national staff to meet contract commitment and local content regulations.
  • To ensure the smooth and efficient running of offices and movement of onshore staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration function to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of service onshore.
  • Responsible for working closely with office departments to draw up / manning / mobilization plans in accordance with the contract commitment and local content regulations.
  • Accountable for the implementation of manning / mobilization plans.
  • Responsible for working closely with Operations Management to draw up training and succession plans in line with the contract commitment and local content regulations.
  • Lead strategy on local compensation and benefits plan, making recommendations to enforce competitive compensation practices and a motivated workforce.
  • Lead effective communication with employees in order to motivate and improve awareness of HR policies and standards.
  • Give direction on HR principles and employee relations grievance, disciplinary and performance management issues to Operations management.
  • Organize periodic employee presentations / durbars and ensures that the necessary followups are done.
  • Create an environment for effective employee development and performance management by using the proper HR tools such as performance appraisals, career planning, promotions, recognition/reward programs, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with all the regulatory bodies and trade unions and maintains good relationships with the appropriate external bodies.
  • Responsible for devising appropriate reports to Senior Management in Brazil and HR Oslo on HR related matters.
  • Establish a framework and database of approved Manpower supply agents.
  • Provide effective support to Operations Management on all HR related matters.
  • Work closely with the HR teams in Oslo and Singapore.
  • Deliver on HR reporting, processes and/or projects when requested by HR Manager & BP, Ops.
  • Weekly/Monthly HR update to be given to HR Manager and BP, Ops.
  • Ensure corporate HR policies are implemented locally in line with the appropriate regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or related professional qualification in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience in a similar position, preferably in the offshore Oil & Gas or Maritime industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, and knowledgeable of databases and systems used for tracking personnel and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Brazil labor laws, local content regulation, maritime labor conventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Effective written, organization and negotiation skills.
