Sales Proposal Engineer

We are currently seeking a Sales Proposal Engineer to join our Marine Sales team based in Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil.

What will be your role?

You will be responsible for developing tailored proposals from cost estimation to complete submission, aligning with customer requirements and supporting our Account/Sales Managers in converting opportunities into successful deals. Your role will involve enhancing customer engagement, optimizing sales processes, and fostering teamwork to drive positive outcomes.

  • Forge relationships with product line counterparts to ensure a customer-centric approach.
  • Transfer product and service knowledge across the organization.
  • Drive growth in key focus areas within the Marine Power segment.
  • Collaborate with various teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Enhance proposal quality and expedite time-to-market.
  • Generate innovative solutions for customer presentations.
  • Communicate customer needs to Product Management teams effectively.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • Proficient in English; intermediate level in Spanish is a bonus.
  • Experience in technical proposals and the oil & gas sector.
  • Knowledge of regional markets and cultural diversity.
  • Strong focus on creating business value and achieving goals.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency in SAP and Power BI considered advantageous.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • Deep understanding of Wärtsilä products and solutions.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail capabilities.
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
