We're looking for an Intern to join the Latin American Government Affairs team in Brazil (GGA/IGA). We look for individuals with a genuine interest in the public policy influencing side of our business.

The internship builds a comprehensive knowledge of Intel's policy positions, key initiatives, business models, culture, and organizational structure.


The Latin American Government Affairs team is responsible for all Intel-led public policy activities influencing legislation and governments' initiatives, most of them with great integrations with industry associations, academia, and our business partners including manufacturers, service providers, and others.

The position is based in Brazil, but the work will involve also interacting with other countries in Latin America (mostly Mexico and Costa Rica) and the US.


Themes of interest to Intel are mostly related to our technologies' conditions to access markets and business environments conducive to growth.

Our current initiatives are related to building resilience in the semiconductor supply chain in the region, data protection legislation, mobile broadband expansion, taxes and incentives, and many others.

You will contribute with the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Support the regional team with the planning, development, and execution of our strategic initiatives, including efforts with Congress and the Executive branch.
  • Collaboration in the development and execution of influencing initiatives, interacting with industry associations, and partners.
  • Support in the development of presentations and reports.
  • Support for team operations, including budget spreadsheet control and purchasing processes (opening shopping carts, supporting purchase order and interacting with accounts payable team when needed).

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Bachelor
Student (Economics, Business Administration, International Relations, Law or related fields) with expected graduation at end (December) 2024 or later

  • Availability to work 30hs / week
  • Languages: Fluent in Portuguese. Intermediate English
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power Point for reporting and presentations
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (should be able to use functions, create charts, etc.) to perform analysis and reporting. Does not need to know how to program Macros / VBA
  • Must have permanentunrestricted right to work in Brazil

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of the legislative process
  • Exposure to public policy initiatives
  • Knowledge of the political context in Brazil and Latin America

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
