Director of Quality | Autoliv Brazil

Autoliv, the global leader in automotive safety, is seeking a visionary Director of Quality to lead our Quality function in South America.

This executive role will be responsible for ensuring best-in-class teams and processes, customer excellence, innovation through data, and continuous improvement across our two major manufacturing sites.

Strong focus on Quality Culture and Quality from Design to Manufacturing is what we expect.

Key Responsibilities:

-Customer Excellence:

Drive customer satisfaction by meeting OEM expectations, leading performance in launches and series production, and strengthening relationships to build trust and recognition.

-Supplier Integration:

Work closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement, support perfect launches, and prevent problems.

-Lean Manufacturing:

Promote operational excellence by reducing waste, standardizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and APS.

-Digital & Analytics Transformation:

Lead the evolution of Quality through digital tools, real-time analytics, dashboards, and advanced AI/ML solutions to enable faster, smarter, data-driven decisions.

- Quality Systems Leadership:

Provide strategic direction for Quality Management Systems, ensuring alignment with customer, regulatory, and corporate requirements, while promoting simplification and improvement across all sites.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering

MBA required (specialization in Quality is a strong asset)

Certifications (preferred):

Six Sigma or other problem-solving methodologies

Quality and Lean Manufacturing training/accreditation

Certifications in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and/or AI

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of proven leadership in a senior Quality role in the automotive sector, ideally in Tier-1 supplier

Languages:

English: Required

Spanish: Plus
