Manufacturing Engineering Analyst – Machine and Equipment Development

Job Description:


The Manufacturing Engineering Analyst will be responsible for developing, defining, and industrializing machines, equipment, and tooling for the manufacturing plants in South America. This role acts strategically in production process planning, defining technical requirements, overseeing equipment construction, and supporting installation and commissioning on the shop floor. The position requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and hands-on experience with national and international suppliers.


Main Responsibilities:

Machine, Equipment, and Tooling Development

  • Develop machines, equipment, and tooling for South American plants, from concept through final validation.
  • Provide technical oversight of design and construction with local and international suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier technical development, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements and company standards.



Process Planning and Design

  • Define acquisition and industrialization schedules for tools and equipment.
  • Design manufacturing processes and production line layouts according to Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals, ergonomic standards (EAWS), and customer-defined cycle times.
  • Apply Virtual Engineering and Process Development tools, including digital planning, simulations of material flow, operators, robots, and forming processes.


Quality, Traceability, and HSE

  • Define and implement traceability concepts in alignment with IT.
  • Align inspection concepts with the Quality team and ensure proper implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with Mechanical Engineering standards, Quality Fundamentals, and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.


Supplier and Procurement Management

  • Create SORs (specification books) for standard equipment, detailing technical requirements.
  • Initiate supplier scouting and evaluation, and create requirement lists for tools and equipment.
  • Recommend suppliers based on technical requirements, analyses, and delivery capability.
  • Support the approval process for tools and equipment, including interface with Purchasing and preparation of purchase requests.
  • Oversee installation and support the launch responsible during commissioning of tools and equipment.


Requirements:


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or related fields.


Experience and Technical Knowledge

  • Strong experience in developing machines, equipment, and tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial projects, equipment construction, and technical follow-up with suppliers.
  • Experience with international suppliers and solid understanding of technical procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of simulations and digital tools for process engineering.
  • Advanced English.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, industrial ergonomics (EAWS), and engineering standards.
