About Your Role

Captal is in search of a dynamic Real Estate Analyst for its rapidly expanding Real Estate Investment Platform. In this role, you will be entrusted with the oversight and optimization of our diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use development projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure each asset's performance resonates with Captal's business plan. Beyond that, you will monitor key financial indicators, lead in-depth periodic assessments, and devise innovative strategies to both improve and safeguard our investment performance post-acquisition.


What You'll Do

1. Portfolio Oversight: Regularly review and analyze the performance of the real estate portfolio, identifying both opportunities and potential risks.

2. Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics to ensure assets are performing in line with Captal's strategic objectives.

3. Strategic Development: Collaborate with senior management to devise and implement asset optimization strategies, focusing on both growth and preservation.

4. Periodic Reviews: Conduct in-depth periodic assessments of individual assets and provide recommendations based on current market conditions and forecasts.

5. Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with developers, construction companies, property managers, leasing agents, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and adherence to Captal's standards.

6. Market Research: Stay up-to-date of market data, market reports, competitor projects performance, and emerging opportunities in the real estate sector.

7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the portfolio and work with the team to develop and implement mitigation strategies.

8. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, and provide regular forecasts based on current portfolio performance and market conditions.

9. Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual asset performance reports for internal stakeholders and investors.

10. Acquisition Support: Collaborate with the acquisitions team during the due diligence process, providing insights into the potential performance and positioning of new assets.

11. Operational Efficiency: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the asset management function.

12. Compliance: Ensure that all properties within the portfolio adhere to regulatory standards, environmental guidelines, and Captal's internal policies.

13. Continuous Learning: Attend relevant training, workshops, and industry events to continuously upgrade skills and knowledge, ensuring Captal's asset management practices remain at the forefront of the industry.


Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of real estate/finance/construction engineering experience, preferably including one or more of the following: greenfield residential development, asset management of real estate assets, and real estate valuation, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • An engineering background is a significant plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to draw conclusions from research and data analysis and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage
  • multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to function both in a team-oriented setting and independently.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment; ability to prioritize and manage multiple
  • projects at a time while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with ability to both take initiative and work within a team setting
  • Professionally persistent and have grace and composure under pressure
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment where iteration is the norm.
