Site Reliability Engineer

=Responsibilities ● Operate and enhance existing runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex production issues and drive long-term reliability improvements. ● Build automation, tooling, and monitoring to remove manual effort across the database stack. ● Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to preventive engineering solutions. ● Learn PostgreSQL and progressively take ownership of database operational responsibilities with mentorship from senior DBREs. ● Participate in the PostgreSQL on-call rotation once sufficient experience and proficiency are gained. Minimum Qualifications ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ● 5+ years of experience operating and maintaining large-scale SaaS platforms. ● Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals. ● Hands-on experience building Docker images for production use. ● Experience running workloads on Kubernetes or another container-orchestration platform. ● Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts; familiarity with tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD is a plus. Preferred Qualifications ● Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.); PostgreSQL experience preferred but not required. ● Strong interest in learning PostgreSQL internals and advanced database concepts. ● Experience building automation or tooling in Python and/or Go. ● Experience with public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure).
