We are seeking an experienced AWS API Integration Engineer to lead the migration of existing MuleSoft integrations to Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will design, build, and optimize API and event-driven integration solutions leveraging AWS-native services, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient architectures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Migrate existing MuleSoft integrations to AWS-based solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy APIs (REST, GraphQL) and event-driven workflows using AWS services including:
  • Amazon API Gateway
  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS Step Functions
  • Amazon EventBridge
  • Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) / Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
  • Implement robust security and access control using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), API keys, and authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Optimize integrations for performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, developers, DevOps) to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
  • Provide technical documentation, code reviews, and best practice guidance.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration or backend development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS integration services (API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design principles.
  • Experience with event-driven and serverless architectures.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, or Java preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of API security best practices and authentication standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience migrating from MuleSoft to AWS.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Amazon Elastic Container Service / Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service).
  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
