We are seeking an experienced AWS API Integration Engineer to lead the migration of existing MuleSoft integrations to Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will design, build, and optimize API and event-driven integration solutions leveraging AWS-native services, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient architectures.

Key Responsibilities

- Migrate existing MuleSoft integrations to AWS-based solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy APIs (REST, GraphQL) and event-driven workflows using AWS services including:
- Amazon API Gateway
- AWS Lambda
- AWS Step Functions
- Amazon EventBridge
- Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) / Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
- Implement robust security and access control using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), API keys, and authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
- Optimize integrations for performance, scalability, maintainability, and cost.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, developers, DevOps) to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
- Provide technical documentation, code reviews, and best practice guidance.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in systems integration or backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS integration services (API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS).
- Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design principles.
- Experience with event-driven and serverless architectures.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, or Java preferred).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.).
- Strong understanding of API security best practices and authentication standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience migrating from MuleSoft to AWS.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Amazon Elastic Container Service / Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
