🔬 Research Associate – Plant Breeding 🔬East West Seed is a globally renowned leader in the vegetable seed industry, dedicated to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers through high-quality seeds and innovative agricultural solutions. With a rich legacy of over four decades, we have consistently driven agricultural transformation across the globe, empowering farmers to enhance their productivity and profitability.We are looking for a Research Associate to support our Tomato Plant Breeding Program in the planning, execution, evaluation and analysis of breeding trials. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who want hands-on exposure to plant breeding, agronomy, and genetics in a structured and collaborative environment.What you will do:Support the planning and execution of breeding trials and routine experimentsCollect, consolidate, and analyze trial data using standard toolsManage working seed collections and maintain accurate records in breeding databasesContribute to continuous improvement of trial methods and technologiesPrepare reports and provide regular updates to key stakeholdersSupport training of technicians and field workers on breeding best practicesEnsure compliance with safety, health, and environmental proceduresWhat we are looking for:Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Crop Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding, or related fieldsBasic to experienced knowledge in plant breeding, agronomy, genetics, and experimental designAvailability to travelBasic knowledge of statistics and data analysisComputer literacy and ability to work with digital toolsGood communication skills in Portuguese and EnglishWhy join us:Hands-on experience in applied plant breedingOpportunity for technical and professional developmentCollaborative environment with strong mentorship from experienced breeders📍 Location: Bragança Paulista - SPInterested?
