The Role

The Solutions Engineering team at SUSE empowers customers with services and products that enable business critical workloads on-premise and on the Cloud Hyperscalers. We're looking for a full stack engineer who wants to join us in expanding the SUSE portfolio with new offerings based on emerging technologies. What you'll do
  • Collaborate with other engineers and architects to build SUSEs next generation AI products.
  • Develop and maintain internal and customer facing products and services.
  • Participate in technical design and code review processes
  • Contribute to existing documentation and/or educational content based on product requirements and user feedback
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, healthy and inclusive learning culture
What you'll bring
  • Experience developing applications using one or more general programming languages (e.g. Python, Go) utilizing git-based source control management tools
  • Experience developing front-end applications or websites.
  • Familiarity with concepts and components of an AI stack including LLMs, RAG, and vector databases.
  • Experience developing software using Linux-based operating systems (e.g. openSUSE)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
  • A strong sense of ownership, accountability, transparency, and drive
  • At least two years of experience developing software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Bonus Points

  • Experience deploying and using LLMs, training AI models, or deploying AI based applications
  • Expertise with cloud native concepts and container technology, including building and deploying containers
  • Experience working with and contributing to open-source communities
