This role will play a critical part in supporting new and existing adhesives for our customers, capitalizing on additional value growth opportunities, and providing technical support and testing of our adhesive's product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and data packages when qualifying products and substrates for launch at our customers, as well as assisting R&D in the development of products and manufacturing with the qualification of products and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Focus on global BETATM adhesive bonding technologies, substrates, processes, and applications for automotive OEM, tier, Aftermarket, and Commercial Transportation customers.
• Coordinate customer work with the support of the technical team and a technician, utilizing ASTM, SAE, customer, and internal specifications to prepare, test, and analyze new products and substrates.
• Provide testing and determine next steps when problems arise, participate in troubleshooting field problems, and lead or participate in formal Root Cause Investigations.
• Develop PFMEA's (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and process standards to prevent future problems.
• Have customer exposure in the form of testing, meetings, training, and trials, advising customers on how products work, process, application, storage, and handling.
• Become familiar with the quality system and be compliant in documentation, leading and engaging in site safety programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a Science-related field, with a fundamental understanding of chemistry and mechanical testing.
• Relevant automotive customer experience, understanding of equipment, and knowledge of automotive assembly process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
• Able to travel 50% of the time, with overtime possible if the project warrants it.
• Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and time management skills, able to work independently and take initiative.
