Investment Analyst

Confluencia is hiring a Jr. Investment Analyst to help us drive our deal sourcing and investment analysis. Working directly with our founders, you will identify and evaluate targets in Brazil's Vertical Market Software sector, co-leading the process from outreach to deal closing.

Who We Are: A newly launched software HoldCo co-founded by Matthew Kligerman (Founder of Escale, raised US$50M+ from top-VCs Kaszek & QED) and Leonardo Savoy (ex-tech investor at Hedosophia & Rise Capital as well as Strategy and IR at Remessa Online, sold to Ebanx for $229M), dedicated to investing in and growing outstanding vertical-market software companies.

Our Investment Focus: We make majority investments in profitable, growing, vertical-market software businesses in Brazil, empowering teams with our value-add growth platform to accelerate further than they imagined, while they continue to operate autonomously. We are powered by a global community of hands-on entrepreneurs and operators who are motivated to give back and help our portfolio companies scale.

Key Activities

Deal Sourcing:

• Research and identify potential targets
• Manage and automate outreach efforts, including preparing communication materials, tracking outreach progress, and updating records on our CRM
• Engage with business owners and brokers to identify new investment opportunities

Investment Analysis:

• Support active deal flow by reviewing and analyzing potential targets
• Evaluate business models, competitive positioning, and sectors/markets
• Build three-statement financial models as well as returns and valuation analyses

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in investment analysis (PE/VC, Corporate Development), investment banking, management consulting, or strategic roles in startups
• Undergraduate degree concluded between 2023-2025
• Previous experience in tech/software is preferred
• Genuine passion for technology, business, and investing
• Strong analytical mindset and curiosity for emerging AI tools
• Fluent Portuguese and Working-Proficiency in English
• Builder's mindset: results-oriented, proactive, resourceful, comfortable in high-velocity environments
• Humble, open to learn and to receive feedback
