Join Pointsville and be part of shaping the future of digital financeOverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Blockchain Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of software engineers. This role is responsible for driving execution, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering a high-performance culture that delivers reliable, scalable, and high-quality products aligned with Pointsville’s strategic goals.What You’ll DoProduct Strategy and PlanningLead, coach, and mentor engineers across multiple technical domains.Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.Support career growth, performance management, and professional development.Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and building a diverse, high-performing team.Execution and DeliveryOversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.Partner with the CTO and Product Manager to translate product roadmaps into engineering execution plans.Manage delivery timelines, resources, and technical dependencies to ensure on-time releases.Proactively identify and remove blockers, ensuring team productivity and alignment.Performance and ImprovementEstablish and enforce engineering best practices across code quality, smart contract security, and infrastructure reliability.Ensure scalability, security, and performance in blockchain and microservice-based environments.Drive the adoption of modern DevOps practices (IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automated testing).Stay current with emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and DeFi developments to guide innovation and continuous improvement.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.7+ years of software development experience, including 6+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.Familiarity with blockchains such as Ethereum and other blockchains preferredFamiliarity with DeFi trading a plusSoftware engineering background in frontend and backend services developmentAn understanding of microservice architecture and cloud-based deploymentsExperience in modern software development practices such as infrastructure as code, test automation, CI/CD and containerizationProven success leading technical teams through the full product lifecycle in Agile or startup environments.Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or C#).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to balance technical depth with people management and cross-functional alignment.We are committed to providing equal opportunity for qualified applicants to contract positions, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
