Darwoft is seeking a Principal Architect to lead Azure cloud strategy and design. The role involves analyzing existing AWS architectures, designing Azure solutions, and leading implementation efforts. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in cloud engineering, especially with Azure and AWS, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze AWS lakehouse and application stack to determine Azure equivalents.
  • Design and build Azure landing zones and infrastructure components.
  • Make key decisions on Azure services for data, compute, networking, and security.
  • Lead hands-on implementation and ensure best practices for scalability, cost efficiency, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for platform integration.
  • Mentor junior team members and guide architectural decisions.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
  • Strong experience with Azure architecture and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Bicep preferred).
  • Experience designing enterprise-grade Azure deployments.
  • Understanding of AWS services for translation to Azure.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD, automation, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Knowledge of security, identity, and data governance in cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English (B2+ level).
Nice to Have
  • Experience with cloud-to-cloud migrations (AWS to Azure).
  • Knowledge of data platforms like lakehouses, Snowflake, Synapse.
  • Azure Architecture or DevOps certifications.
