Network Engineer

On behalf of our client, a global leader in Data Center and Networking optimization we are searching for a Network Engineer to work in their subsidiary in São Paulo.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and intermittently improving their current network configuration and infrastructure. You will design our revamped network infrastructure with the goal of maximizing its performance.

You will also provide troubleshooting on network infrastructure and configuration support, providing reports, scaling up incidents, if required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, implement, and optimize networks systems & infrastructure.
  • Configure and operate routers and switches.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, escalating when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area
  • Certified in Cisco CCNA Routing and switching, with desirable 3 years of experience with network administration.
  • Experience in supporting global infrastructures in a 24/7 environment.
  • Comfortable working shifts as part of a global support model.
  • Ability to provide crisis management support by anticipating solutions to issues /events , resolving them with customers and partners.
  • Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals.
  • Ideal to have familiarity with ITIL or structured incident management processes.
  • Ideal to have experience with Cisco SD-Wan technologies or related networking equipments.
  • English proficiency is required
