Role Overview:
The Personal Data Processing and Security Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our customer and company data.
This position requires a deep understanding of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), international data protection regulations, and the unique challenges faced by the gambling industry. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to data governance, coupled with a hands-on ability to implement robust security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive data protection and security policies, ensuring compliance with LGPD and other relevant regulations.
- Leading the Brazilian Data Processing and Security capability, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and awareness around data protection.
- Conducting regular Brazilian risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the effectiveness of security measures.
- Collaborating with IT and software development teams, particularly with the bet365 betting system.
- Managing incidents involving data breaches or security threats, including investigation, response, and reporting to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Staying abreast of technological advancements and legislative changes that may impact data processing and security, advising senior management on necessary actions.
- Developing and deliver training programs to staff on data protection best practices and legal requirements.
- Key engagement lead with the Brazilian regulator and authorities regarding local data protection and security matters.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in data protection and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), GDPR, and other international data protection regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data protection issues to a non-technical audience.
- Must be in possession of a CPF and be a Brazilian Resident
