The company operates at the intersection of technology, entertainment, and data, delivering best-in-class digital experiences in a highly dynamic and regulated environment.As part of its growth in Brazil, we are looking for a highly experienced Head of Data to lead the data strategy, governance, analytics, and AI-driven solutions for the Brazilian operation. This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the C-level of the local business, with strong collaboration with global data, technology, and product teams.Role OverviewThe Head of Data will be responsible for building and scaling the data function in Brazil, ensuring that data becomes a strategic asset to drive business growth, operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance. This role involves leadership over data engineering, analytics, data science, machine learning, and data governance.Key Responsibilities:Define and execute the local data strategy, aligned with global guidelines but tailored to the specific needs of the Brazilian operation.Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing data team, including data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and machine learning specialists.Design and implement robust data architectures and pipelines capable of processing large-scale, real-time transactional and behavioral data streams generated by online betting platforms.Develop advanced analytics models, predictive models, and AI solutions to support key business functions such as risk management, fraud prevention, customer personalization, marketing optimization, pricing, and responsible gaming.Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of machine learning models in production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ethical AI practices.Ensure full compliance with local data privacy laws (e.g., LGPD) and gaming regulations, working closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams.Champion data governance best practices, including data quality, lineage, cataloging, and security.Partner with commercial, product, marketing, and operations teams to democratize data access and foster a data-driven decision-making culture.Interface with global data and technology teams to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and adoption of global platforms and standards.Stay up to date with the latest developments in data, AI, and regulatory trends, bringing innovative solutions to the business.Requirements:Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields. Master s or MBA is a strong plus.Proven experience (8+ years) in senior data leadership roles, ideally in digital, gaming, fintech, e-commerce, or other data-intensive industries.Strong technical background in data engineering, data architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka, DBT).Solid hands-on knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) and deployment of AI models into production.Experience leading AI/ML use cases such as recommendation systems, fraud detection, churn prediction, customer segmentation, and dynamic pricing.Excellent understanding of data privacy regulations (LGPD, GDPR) and governance frameworks.Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business challenges into data solutions.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in both English and Portuguese.Hands-on, collaborative, and entrepreneurial mindset able to operate in high-growth and highly regulated environments.Work Model & Benefits:Hybrid work model (São Paulo).Senior-level compensation + annual bonus.Meal allowance.Premium health and dental insurance (extensible to dependents).Life insurance.Access to a global online learning platform (Udemy) and continuous development programs.Highly collaborative, multicultural, and inclusive work environment.
